He is survived by: his son James Edward Ford Jr.; his brother Amos Ford; his nieces, Felicia Williams, Chaterine Williams and Cassie Ford; and his siblings-in-law, Everlea Graham, Mary Winsten, Margie Bullock, Sandra Jackson, James Auther Melton, Thomas Melston and George Jackson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Central & Worley Mortuary (219 E 3rd St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Smith Chapel Bible Church of God (380 W 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358).
