She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther "Ball" Ransom and Joevennie Ransom; her stepmother Celie Ransom; and her brothers, Windy Ransom, James Luther Ransom and David Grant.
She is survived by: her close friend Herman Holden, Jr.; her sons, Joseph Ray Ransom and Patrick Lynn Strickland; and her siblings, Tommy Ransom of Lumberton, NC, Ronnie Ransom of Arizona, Ronda Kay Oxendine of Lumberton, NC and Linda Faye Ransom of Fairmont, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
