Queen Esther Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Queen Esther Smith (Fairmont, North Carolina), who passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Floyd and Esther Mae Baker Floyd; her siblings, Nettie, John, LaJune and Johnny Sinclair; and her grandson Little Johnny Townsend.
She is survived by: her children, Dares Smith of Fayetteville, Ebony Smith of Fairmont and Latefah Smith; her brothers, Carlton Floyd (Gwen) of Newburgh, James Floyd (Mary) of Charlotte, Weldon Floyd (Ann) of Proctorville and William Floyd of Lumberton; her sister-in-law Maxine of Newburg; and her close friend Tanya Cooper (Jeremiah Samuels). She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, one great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hills Chapel (302 N Main St, Fairmont, NC 28340). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
