He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Hunt; his children, Ardell (Tricia) of Fairmont, NC, Ledell of Fairmont, NC, Glendell of Fairmont, NC, Redell, Jr. of Fairmont, NC, Rev. Timmy Hunt (Linda) of Fairmont, NC, Judy of Fairmont, NC, Brenda Hunt of Fairmont, NC, Teresa Granados (Gilberto) of Fairmont, NC and Lissa Gonzales (Juan Zamaro) of Fairmont, NC; and his siblings, A. G. Hunt of Lumberton, NC, Glenn Hunt of Charlotte, NC, D. C. Hunt of Lumberton, NC, Hazel of Lumberton, NC, Sandra Locklear of Lumberton, NC and Linda Epps of Florida. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
