With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rod McQuage Jr. of Fairmont, North Carolina, who passed away on May 26, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Rod is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Rod's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rod McQuage, Sr. and Tildea Seals McQuage; and his siblings, Mack "Buckshot" McQuage, Elosie Kling and Emma "Hattiecall" Smith.
He is survived by: his sister Bernice Hayes of Fairmont; his niece Tilder Hunt (Bryant) of Fairmont; and his grandsons, Elijah Hunt (Sofie) of Orrum, Bryan Hunt (Cassidy) of Red Springs and Landon Hunt of Fairmont. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Floyd Funeral Services, Inc. (1549 Marion Stage Rd, Fairmont, NC 28340). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
