He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Duncan Pittman and Marjalene Ivey Pittman. He is survived by: his sister Marjorie Lynn Atkinson; his sibling's children, Mark Charles Atkinson and Rita Atkinson Styron (Paul); and his great-nephew Hugh William Styron.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Centerville Baptist Church (3428 NC-41, Fairmont, NC 28358). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Floyd Memorial Cemetery (1591 Marion Stage Rd, Fairmont, NC 28340).
