She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Caulk and Ila Mae Baxley Caulk; and her sisters, Jen Atkinson, Nell Leggett, Libby Branch and Marilyn Hughes.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Charles "Chuck" Kempf; her brother Kenny Caulk of Franklinton, NC; and her brothers-in-law, Jerry Leggett of Fairmont, NC and Ronald Hughes of Fairmont, NC. She is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews.
