He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer A. Sanders and Johnnie Bell Chavis Sanders; and his siblings, Jimmy "Man" Sanders, Timmy Sanders and Jennifer Sanders.
He is survived by: his close friend Doris Oxendine; his siblings, Matthew Sanders (Kathy) of Lumberton, Homer Sanders, Jr. of Fairmont, Alexander Sanders of Fairmont, Lyndall Sanders of Pembroke, Mary Jacobs (Billy) of Red Springs, Gail Garcia (Pablo) of Fairmont and Schawanna Sanders (Kelvin McDuffie) of Fairmont; and his granddaughter Joslyn Bisbee of Fairmont. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
