We are sad to announce that on October 21, 2023, at the age of 80, Carl Arnold Ownbey of Fairview, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Robert and Hilda Buckner Ownbey; and his siblings, Linda Ownbey Ebernickel, Rita Ann Laudenslager and Larry Ownbey.

He is survived by : his wife Sally Reed Ownbey; his children, Cheryl Ownbey Rector of Asheville and Christopher Alan Ownbey of Candler; his grandchildren, Megan Rector (Brannon Gann), Wayne Rector (Julie Moore), Jordan Ownbey, Annalisa Ownbey and Meliea Valle (Micha Hart); and his great grandchildren, Kyndall Rector, Braedyn Hicks and Parker Hicks.
