She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Lang and Rosa Ayers Lang; her husband Charles K. Payne; and her brothers, Bill, Junior, Harry and David Lang.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Payne of Arden and Lewis Payne of Hendersonville; and her sister Faye Taylor of Lake City, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel Groce Funeral Home (72 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC 28704).
