In the vast expanse of eternity, Melvia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Melvia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Parker and Vera McClenny Parker; and her sisters, Josephine Crumpler, Flonnie Boyette and Madline Shaw.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald David Sloan; and her brother David Parker. She is also survived by Seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Faison Town Cemetery (110 NE Center St, Faison, NC 28341).
