Harold Moffitt Flanagan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold Moffitt Flanagan of Farmville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 8, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arch J. Flanagan and Mattie Gayle Cheek Flanagan; his wife Alawoise Strickland Flanagan; his son Jerry Harold Flanagan; and his siblings, Jay Flanagan and Sue Flanagan Auld.
He is survived by: his children, Gayle Flanagan Bonner (Ed), Scott Flanagan (Lynn) and Mark Flanagan (Betsy); his grandchildren, Caroline Davenport (Bob), Jeremy Flanagan (Kristen), Jacob Flanagan (Jama), Allison Bonner Bogart (Michael), Leigh Kathryn Bonner Wall (Jeremy), Sarah Ruth Flanagan Brann (Travis), Holli Lynn Flanagan (Matthew), Mallory Flanagan, Arch Flanagan, Jack Flanagan and Sam Flanagan; his sister Gayle Davis Smith; and his caregivers, Harold and Barbara Hopkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and countless other friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Farmville First Christian Church (3776 S Main St, Farmville, NC 27828). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Farmville First Christian Church (3776 South Main Street, Farmville, NC 27828), BSA Troop 25 (PO Box 173 Farmville, NC 27828), or simply "doing a good turn daily" in Harold's honor.
