He is survived by: his wife Shirley Allen Baker; his daughters, Karen Baker Smith (Steve) of Macclesfield, Deborah Baker Mayo of Elm City and Teresa Baker Vick (Stephan) of Moseley, VA; his sister Linda Corbitt of Fountain; and his grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Hayden Vick, Nathan Smith, Alec Smith, Gavyn Mayo and Lily Mayo.
