She was predeceased by: her husband Travis Brock; and her parents, Ed Nichols and Kathryn Nichols. She is survived by: her children, Michelle Matthews (Kevin) and Wayne Yarborough (Tracey); her grandchildren, Brock Rouse (Casey), Evan Windham (Rebecca) and Cassidy Rabun; her great grandchildren, Liam Britt, Charlie Rouse, Ella Grace Rouse, Magnolia Windham, Adelaide Windham and Sterling Windham; and her sister Diane Pace of Dillon.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pinewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carolinas Center for Hospice and Home Care Foundation (http://www.ahhcnc.org), which provides education and advocates for hospice and home care throughout North Carolina — a cause close to Melissa's heart.
