We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2025, at the age of 86, Allen John Carter (Fayetteville, North Carolina), born in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John George Carter and Cora Elizabeth Brown Carter; and his sister Elaine Hunsinger. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Powers Carter; his daughters, Karen Elizabeth Chiavacci (John D.) and Laina Suzanne Carter Harvey (Robert D.); his grandchildren, Daniel Allen Carter, Sarah Diane Chiavacci and Andrew David Chiavacci; his sister Marilyn Carter Romich (Larry); and his nieces, Michele Romich Gordon and Jeannine Lindsey.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite animal rescue organization or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
