As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Aurelia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She is survived by: her husband Estell Wright; her children, Avis Simmons of Upper Marlboro, MD, Bernetta Wright of Fayetteville and Drexel Wright of Goldsboro; and her siblings, Mary Helen McMillan of Wagram, Annie Lee McMillan, Sherron McMillan of Durham, Carnell McMillan of Laurinburg, Charlie Pete McMillan of Laurinburg, Raymond McMillan of Laurinburg and Gregory McMillan of Laurinburg. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Viewing was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Herring Funeral Care & Cremations (2720 Murchison Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
