She was predeceased by: her parents, Volice Tuggle and Lula Tuggle; and her husband William Thornton. She is survived by: her children, Robin Williams (George) and Michael Thornton (Anita); and her siblings, Ann Powell, Terry Tuggle and Bud Tuggle. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home (545 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Lafayette Memorial Park - West (6701 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304).
