Cynthia leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Cynthia’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Cynthia will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She is survived by: her children, Neaney Shepard, Danny Simpson, Jr., Shayla Norfleet and Narrada Simpson (Neshay); and her adoptive son Michael "Solo" Shakina. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of bonus children and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Herring Funeral Care & Cremations (2720 Murchison Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
