He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles David Wood and Jewel Strickland Wood; and his brothers, Charles Wood, Jr., Donald Wood and Darrell Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Heidi King Wood; his children, David Lee Wood, Jr. of Palm Beach, FL, Christiana Wood-Fisher (Tony) of Fayetteville and Louis Jordan Wood (Elizabeth) of Stedman; his grandchildren, Cody Lee Fisher (Grace), Madison Kayla Wood, Dalton Lee Fisher, Joshua Charles Wood, Natalie Shyann Wood and Lucas Jordan Wood; his great grandchild Mary Catherine Fisher; his sisters, Edna Edwards, Wanda Teets (Bruce), Darlene Wright (Carl) and Vanessa; his brother-in-law Gary Southerland; and his niece Lindsey Southerland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
