With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Derrick Lynn Bledsole of Fayetteville, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Derrick left this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 56, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the sacred silence of farewell, Derrick is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Derrick's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonzel David and Vilona Whitehead Bledsole; and his brothers, Michael Wayne and Mickey Allen Bledsole. He is survived by: his siblings, Jessamie Affionte, Patsy Rohrbeck (Bob) of Hope Mills, Janet Carter of Fayetteville, Neal, Ronnie, Jimmie and Ricky of Fayetteville; and his nephew Mickey Bledsole. He is also survived by nephews, 36 great nieces and nephews, and18 great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cape Fear Baptist Church (100 Indian Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28312). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
