He was predeceased by: his parents, David Clyde and Georgia Isabelle Millikin Walker. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Walker; his children, DeAnn Strickland, Jackie Strickland and Phillip Walker; and his siblings, Frank Walker and Kay Nix. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
