She is survived by : her children, Daniel Earl Stancil, Jr. and Shanti Lavette Mellon; and her siblings, Milton Mellon, Ruthie Lee McKnight, Lessie McKnight and Anthony McKnight. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Wiseman Mortuary (431 Cumberland St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
