She is survived by: her husband Willie L. Simpson; her son Melvin Fowler of Fayetteville; her stepchildren, Valerie Simpson of Fayetteville and Marella Simpson; and her siblings, Jettie Ulmer Rice of Atlanta, GA, Albertha Hubbard, Virginia Ulmer and Landard Ulmer of Raleigh.
Viewing was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Herring Funeral Care & Cremations (2720 Murchison Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
