He was predeceased by: his parents, William Milton Joyner and Selma Naomi Stateon; his wife Bonnie Thompson Joyner; and his children, William Henry Joyner and Betty Jean Horne.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Lee Joyner (Allyson) of Fayetteville, NC, James Earl Joyner of Wilson, NC and Audrey Driver (Leon) of Wilson, NC; and his grandchildren, Justin Lee Joyner (Victoria) of Fayetteville, NC, Jordan Lynn Sheets (Robby) of Greenville, NC, Christe Hinnant (Shane) of Wilson, NC, Sue McLaughlin (Rex) of Wilson, NC and Johnny Horne (Reagan) of Wilson, NC. He is also survived by 13 great greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Lafayette Baptist Church, Helping Hands Ministry, 501 Hope Mills Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
