She was predeceased by: her parents, Ransom Lee Massengill and Lillie E. Snead Massengill; her siblings, Lee Massengill, Wilton Massengill, Sarah Massengill Williamson and Florence Massengill Walker; her son Christopher Massengill Overfelt; and her spouse Trumon Louis Overfelt.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jason Buie Darden, Joel Ransom Darden, Abbigail Elizabeth Overfelt, Michael Pittillo, Michelle Cooper Pittillo, Kelly O'Donnell and John O'Donnell; her great grandchildren, Ava Katherine Darden, Bennett Joseph Darden, Zoe Madden and Mason Jeremiah Darden; and her children-in-law, Mary Overfelt, Patricia Overfelt and Ernest Joseph Darden (Douglas Zincke).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the National Alzheimer's Association in Hilda's name.
