He is survived by: his son Ryan Knowles of Newburgh, IN; his siblings, Earl Knowles (Mona) of Kinston, Jimmy Knowles (Claudia) of Falcon and Mary McLeod (Larry McLeod) of Fayetteville; and his aunt Lila Autry of Fayetteville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
