We announce the death of Jim Hedgpeth Sr. of Fayetteville, North Carolina, who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 89. Jim will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vardell Hedgpeth, Sr. and Blanche Floyd Hedgpeth; his daughter Kelly Hedgpeth; and his brothers, Bobby Hedgpeth, Charles Hedgpeth and Steve Hedgepeth.
He is survived by: his son Jim Hedgpeth, Jr. (Deedra) of Fayetteville, NC; his brother Vardell Hedgpeth, Jr. (Janeth) of Raeford, NC; his grandchildren, Chase Stubbs (Alysia), Jackson "Jack" Stubbs (Julie), Emily Mahar (Braxton) and Corbin Masaitis; and his great grandchildren, Ilana Stubbs, Aubree Mahar and AJ Mahar. He is also survived by loving extended family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel (13640 Andrew Jackson Hwy, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Hillside Memorial Park (11007 Academy Rd, Laurinburg, NC 28352).
