He is survived by: his wife Esther Matthews; his children, Dianna Phillips and Dwayne Thomas Matthews; his grandson Christopher Phillips (Allison); his great grandchild Aubryn Phillips; and his sisters, Shelba Hodges (Willis) and Connie Norris (Terry).
