He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Henry Overmann and Katherine Kuhlmann Overmann; and his wife Mary Alice Murphy Overmann. He is survived by: his daughter Mary Overmann Ratley (Steve); his grandchildren, Justin Ratley (Amber) and Lauren Ratley Dempster (Drew); his great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kinsley Ratley, Tripp and Ellie Dempster; and his sister Dollie Nauman.
