He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his sons, Melvin J. Johnson, Jr. (Brittany) and Michael J. Johnson (Monica); and his siblings, Mattie Gibson (Howard), William Dennis Ferebee (Guiselle) and Clarence Johnson. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wiseman Mortuary (431 Cumberland St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Wiseman Mortuary Chapel (431 Cumberland St, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
