She was predeceased by: her parents, John Columbus and Lois Johnson Coggins; and her husband Henry Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Annette Thompson, Kekara McTavish (James Rhines) and John Thompson (Kelly Ann Palumbo); her grandchildren, Alexis Ann Thompson, Matthew Lawrence Cottrell, Brandon Joshua Dean (Heather), Erica Bates (Russell) and Thomas Wilson (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, London Cottrell, Dimitri Dean, Aaliyah Dean, Zander Dean and Raven Rose Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Carolina Rehab Center of Cumberland, 4600 Cumberland Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306-2412.
