He is survived by: his wife Lessie Simmons; his children, Darlene Simmons of Fayetteville, Sylvia Remigio of Fayetteville, Jacqueline Simmons of Fayetteville, Caroline Anderson of Fayetteville, Oranzie Simmons, Jr. of Fayetteville, Gary Simmons of Fayetteville and Lorenzo Simmons of Fayetteville; and his siblings, Bishop Willie Preston Simmons of Fayetteville, Charlie Scott Simmons of Johnsonville, SC and Carrie Lee Cook of Alberta, VA. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Falling Run Missionary Baptist Church (2852 Cedar Creek Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28312). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
