He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy O. Cole and Mary Frances Butcher Cole; his daughter Sherrie Cole Morris; and his sister Colleen Cole Kinney. He is survived by: his wife Erma J. Cole; his children, Robert D. Cole, Jr., Michael Paul Cole and Erica R. Cole; and his stepchildren, Shay Powers, Natasha Shuler and Michael Paul Yoho. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
