He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edgar and Regina Roberta Carder McCloud; and his brothers, James Marvin, John Edgar and Kenneth Lee.
He is survived by: his sons, John and Kenneth; his father-in-law Dr. William Bray Whitehead; his children, Caroline Self (Ahren), Edward (Jacqueline), Janet Firmani (Mark), Annette Jimmerson (Jarrel) and Cheryl Helm (Mark); James. He is also survived by his five children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
