She is survived by: her children, Edward H. Chavis III (Kenda), William Michael Chavis and Joya Toson (Jeffrey); her sisters, Patricia Cordell and Carol Poe; and her grandchildren, Jayla Toson, Jasmyn Toson, Collin Chavis and Henry Chavis. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
