In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Sulema had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Sulema may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her sisters, Beatrice Rodriquez and Magdalena "Lottie" Tomlinson. She is survived by: her daughters, Dawn Chmiel of Apex, NC and Susan Delaney (David) of Holly Springs, NC; her grandchildren, Gabe, Finn Chmiel and Lauren Delaney; her brother John Gonzales; and her sibling's children, Anna, Michelle and Michael.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Jernigan - Warren Funeral Home (545 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Jernigan-Warren Chapel (545 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
