He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett Beverly and Mertys Beverly; and his brother Ronnie Beverly. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Beverly; his sons, Ted Beverly, Jr. (Chris Bettini) and Ben Beverly (Angel); his grandchildren, Tyler Bettini and Jaden Beverly; his sisters, Julia Lewis and Marylou Dozier; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Gardner (Eleanor) and Sue Clark. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the "Back Pack Buddies" program, c/o Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 3350 Butler Nursery Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306, in Ted's honor.
