She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph A. Cain and Emma Louise Cain; and her brother Alton Cain. She is survived by : her son Brandon Lambert (Britney Ward) of Chapel Hill; her siblings, Johnny Cain (Debbie) of Fayetteville, Kathryn Powers (Oscar) of Virginia, Donna Holland (David) of Fayetteville, Dinah Mauldin (Jackie) of Fayetteville, Nancy Cain Pruett of Fayetteville and Marie Cain of Lumberton; and her grandchildren, Kaidence Ward and Emma Ward. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Angel House Hospice Center of Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville, NC.
