He is survived by: his daughters, Lee Ann Carter Simpson of Pinehurst and Vaughn "Michelle" Carter Williams of Salemburg; his grandchildren, Mary Ashleigh Williams, Halee Simpson Parham (Alex) and Joseph Williams, III; his brother Jay Kim Carter; and his stepsons, Hunter Green and Jason Green.
