She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover McFayden Cashwell and Anthy Johnson Cashwell; and her husband Thomas Dwight Bennett. She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Bennett White (Walter); her grandchildren, Cameron Bennett White (Jillian) of Springfield and Cara Alexander White (Joe) of Seven Devils; her sister Patricia Cashwell Gore (Bud) of Raleigh; her niece Marcelyn Gore Miller; her great-nephew Cayleb McFayden Miller; and her friend Deborah Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service (610 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Willa's memory to Haymount United Methodist Church 1700 Fort Bragg Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28303 where she had served in the past on the finance committee and the flower ministry.
