He is survived by: his wife Linda Gail Smith Scott; his sons, Willam Harvey Scott, Jr. (Lindsey) and Jonathan Keith Scott (Leah); his grandchildren, Luke Scott, Addyson Scott, Lane Scott and Madelyn Scott; his siblings, Berry Randolph Scott, Jr. (Martha), Larry Joseph Scott (Bette) and Charlotte S. Dew (Johnnie); and his pet Bella.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gardner's Methodist Church.
