He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Luther Hoots, Sr. and Mildred Case Hoots; his wife JoAnne Griffin Hoots; and his sister Shirley Hoots. He is survived by: his son Harry Luther Hoots III (Tracy Birdwhistell) of Raleigh, NC; and his grandchildren, Chilton Luther Birdwhistell of Houston, TX and Zendi Griffin Hoots of Raleigh, NC.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the East Flat Rock First Baptist Church (1895 Greenville Hwy, Flat Rock, NC 28731).
