He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Roosevelt and Maude Trivette Phillips; his son Thomas Dean Phillips; and his brothers, Russell Dean Phillips and Jerry Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Eldreth Phillips; his children, Randy Phillips of Fleetwood and Sherry Cox (Chris) of Laurel Springs; his grandchildren, Christopher Cox and Abby Phillips; his siblings, John Phillips (Donna), Clayton Phillips (Phyllis) and Charlotte Trivette of Fleetwood; and his friend Judy Ham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
