He was predeceased by: his parents, Walt James Lance and Hazel Walker Lance; and his wife Nancy Branks Lance. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Riebell of Fletcher, Douglas Lance of Mills River and Ricky Branks of Arden; and his siblings, Harold Lance of Hendersonville, Stevie Lance of Horseshoe, Dorothy Wilkie of Hendersonville and Linda Shields of Hendersonville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
