With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Douglas Souther of Fletcher, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Souther and Edna Souther Lewis; his brother Jimmy Souther (Lois Souther); his stepfather James Lewis; and his son-in-law David Cruse.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Orren Souther; his daughter Mary Cruse (Missi) of Hendersonville; his granddaughters, Celeste Cutshaw (Jamie) of Fletcher and Kersten Fisher (Brandon) of Fletcher; his great grandchildren, Dayton Dills, Anabelle Messer and Stella Fisher; his sister Cindy Allison of Zirconia; and his nephew Brian Craig of Fletcher.

In lieu of flowers, Gary's family respectfully asks that a donation be made to the charity or church of your choosing.
