He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Jennifer Wentz (Layne) of Pisgah Forest and John Hensley, Jr. (Jenny) of Asheville, NC; his grandchildren, Kayla Gaddy (Corey), John Hensley III (Melissa), Jordan Bales (JR) and Caroline Adams (Austin); his great grandchildren, Alexandria and Saylor; his sisters, Linda Hebert of Forest City, NC and Brenda McCall of Brevard, NC; and his sister-in-law Mary Lou Hensley of Brevard, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
