He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Simmons, and John Simmons, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Judy Simmons; his children, Jill Tolsma of Atlanta, Georgia and Michael Simmons of Fletcher; his granddaughter Audrey Tolsma; and his siblings, Bob Simmons of Holbrook and Mary Neill of Clearwater, Florida..
