He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest B. Melton and Lillie Bell Byrd Melton; and his brothers, Billy and Bobby Melton. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Worley Melton; and his sister Mary Ann Melton Hensley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fletcher First Baptist Church (5 Cane Creek Rd, Fletcher, NC 28732). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the West Memorial Park (40 Roberts St, Weaverville, NC 28787).
