He was predeceased by: his parents, Jason Cameron Garren and Vesta Barnwell Garren; and his siblings, Annette Wright, Brenda Gentry and Charles Garren.

He is survived by: his wife Dewena Fowler Garren; his children, Jennifer Michelle Garren (Ovid) and Wayne "Cameron" Garren Jr.; his grandchildren, James Garren and Allyson West (Cainan); his great grandchild Ruby Garren; and his pet Buddy.

A reception will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Fletcher First Baptist Church (5 Cane Creek Rd, Fletcher, NC 28732). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at the same location.
