With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bessie Boatright of Forest City, North Carolina, born in Midland, Texas, who passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Covington and Lucille Greene Covington; and her siblings, Bob Covington, Jack Covington, Jr. and Helen Lake.
She is survived by: her husband Reverend Melvin Boatright; her children, Deborah Camacho (Irving) of Forest City and Dennis Boatright (Don Pasquella) of Dallas, Texas; her siblings, Christine Head (Bonnie) and Lester Dean Covington of Irving, Texas; her grandchildren, Brittney Barlow, Cameron Barlow, Preston Squyres, Miguel Camacho (Kaitlynn Gordon), Casey Squyres and Lulu Barcenas Lugo; and her great grandchildren, Sarah, Maggie, Christofer, Alexa, Melania, Arianna, Hannah, Madison Jane, Laney, Parker and Karson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace Chapel (121 Mitchell St Ext, Forest City, NC 28043). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Alexander Cemetery (1071 S Broadway St, Forest City, NC 28043).
